The first details are in for the new Acer Laptop models which are due in November. The Acer Aspire 5742 will be available in several configurations. Specs are subject to change before release, but below we have listed 3 of the models we should be receiving come November:

- Acer Aspire 5742Z - LX.R4P02.007 P6100 CPU at 2Ghz, 15.6" HD Screen, 320GB HDD, 3GB RAM, 6 Cell Battery, Windows 7
- Acer Aspire 5742G - LX.R5202.007 - Intel Core i3 370, ATI 5470 Dedicated Graphics with 512MB, 15.6" HD Screen, 500GB HDD, 4GB RAM, 6 Cell Battery, Windows 7
